THAT YOU CAN CHANGE THE LIFE OF A CHILD BY PLAYING 100 HOLES OF GOLF?

What: I believe... Golf Marathon is no ordinary golf tournament. Each golfer is challenged to play 100 holes of golf in one day and solicit pledges for each hole played.

When: Monday, April 28, 2008

Where: Daniel Island Club, Daniel Island, SC

Fees: No entry fee, but each golfer is asked to raise $25 per hole to benefit abused children.

How you can help:

Play golf OR
Be a caddie for a friend who plays golf (You can both solicit pledges and raise money as a team!) OR
Donate a gift certificate or item that DNLCC can give to our hardworking golfers as a prize OR
Pledge to a golfer (Call us we can give you a golfer to help!) OR
Be a tournament sponsor.

Who benefits: Children of the Lowcountry. The Dee Norton Lowcountry Children's Center, Inc. (DNLCC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving child abuse victims and their families in the South Carolina Lowcountry. DNLCC provides assessment and treatment services in a safe, supportive, child-friendly environment. The safety of children is our priority. When the DNLCC opened its doors in March of 1991, it was expected that 200 children would be seen each year. In reality, we see 200 new child victims every two and half months

Schedule
7:00 am: Registration/continental breakfast
7:15 am: Review rules of play
7:30 am: Shotgun start
2:00 pm: Post Marathon Lunch and Awards Presentation.
